Alim Beisembayev returns following his hugely popular performance in Parbold just months after winning the Leeds International Piano Competition back in 2021.
Not only did he claim First Prize – awarded by the panel of judges – but he also won the medici.tv Audience Prize, voted for by the viewing public at home, plus the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Society Prize for contemporary performance.
Since then, Alim has become a BBC New Generation Artist 2023-25, made debuts at venues including the Royal Albert Hall (BBC Proms), Wigmore Hall, Concertgebouw in Amsterdam and Carnegie Hall, and released his first album as an exclusive recording artist of Warner Classics. The disc focuses on solo works by Liszt, a composer whose music he will perform in Parbold, together with pieces by Scarlatti and Ligeti.
