DESCRIPTION:Recognised as one of the world’s leading guitar quartets\, the Aquarelle Guitar Quartet is a dynamic and innovative group known for its extraordinary performances and glorious range of sound. \nThe programme for Parbold Music draws inspiration from the world of Spanish and South American music\, featuring repertoire on the Quartet’s new CD ‘Latin Connections’ (release – October 2025 on Chandos Records). The heart of the programme is Latin American with flamboyant works by composers including Paulo Bellinati\, Egberto Gismonti\, Luis Bonfa and Antonio Carlos Jobim alongside popular classics including Bizet’s Carmen Suite and Celtic inspired works by Catriona McKay and Scott Tennant. \nRenowned for the tightness of their ensemble and the variety of their repertoire\, the AGQ bring a relaxed presentation to their performances which has beguiled them to audiences all over the UK and on the international stage.
